When i am holding her she wants to crawl up my chest and lick inside my ear and the back of it also.She is approx. 8 ks. old....

Puppy kisses?
No, I don't know why she does this. Our Chi is now almost 2 years old. He likes to lick the inside of my elbow. I sometimes wonder is he likes the salt from my sweat. But I don't think you sweat too much inside your ear.
I do know that grooming can be a dominance thing. The alpha can groom the lower status pack members anytime he/she wants, and may refuse grooming anytime he/she wants. If you don't like it, refuse to let her do it. Also, make sure she knows that when you want to pet/scratch/rub her, she must allow it.
Make sure she knows you're the alpha, or you'll have problems later.

I have a 31/2 year old male long haired Chihuahua and he is pretty determined to lick deep in my ear canal and behind my ears every night when I get in bed and sometimes he starts when its late and i'm still up watching tv I think its his way of telling me its time to go to bed and then he wants to love on me before I go to sleep that's my thoughts

Dog's show affection by grooming! Ie: cleaning in or behind your ears. Also, sometimes if they naw at your skin with their teeth (as they do when they clean themselves) they are cleaning you. They also do this to eachother, I have two who do it all the time. Your puppy loves you, give her a hug and a kiss and love her back! Too cute!

My dog did that to when i got her at3months as a puppy she weigh 3pds.My dog is 7years old now and it means they want a drink of water.My dog when ever she is thirsty she licks me really hard on my ears or in the face.This means she wants a drink of cold water.Trust me after 7years i caught on to it .She sits by the door of my apt when she wants to go out.Good luck with your dog they are so cute they will make you laugh most of the time.

I have four chihuahuas and they all do it. They also like to give kisses. This is their way of showing that they love you. They will also do this as a grooming tench. My chihuahuas will clean each others ears every day.
