cos you limit yourself by thinking of just yourself. But you expand, grow & progress more & faster spiritually & in numerous ways the more you consider others & also think how of how to improve our beautiful planet.

a true statement. WHY? because once a vessel is full you cannot put anything else into it.
WHY NOT? the same as above.
BUT. if we look outside of ourselves and look to others in a giving loving maner, to prefer others over yourself, to think and act as others are better than you, THEN. then they will see you as big and strong and beautiful and you will grow in their eyes, so the biger you want to be act in a way that will make more people around you see you as careing, giving, loving, always puting other people before yourself. this is not an easy task and you will fail many times but if you never try, well.......?

If your mind is always on yourself, focused on your own wants and desires, you will always be emotionally weak and never reach your full potential. You will always be emotionally immature. We are not supposed to live like that. One hint that something is not good for you is if it causes you to think too much of your own desires.

True! You can't get water from an empty well. The rain must fall giving life to all and filling the hole completely.

Of Course ! We are to set our minds on things above, not on things below. We grow, and mature as we focus on God, and His Will, and Providence for our lives.

it is only in giving that we receive; it is only in living for others that we grow. And the best way to keep your mind focused on God is by repetiton of His Name.

We were created to give ourselves to others, not to live for ourselves. The work as a team can be beat-ed any way.

Then you would by definition be self-centered and growth is being willing to ease others suffering and be of service.

because focusing entirely on yourself does not provide grounds for expanding your knowledge, your acceptance, and your understanding of anything and anyone different than you.
