I have a "pending" warrant issued by the City of Dallas. (Their office said a pending warrant has not been signed into active status by a judge yet and that if I'm pullied over it will be up to the officer whether or not to arrest me.) . .! ! ! **** I WANT TO TURN MYSELF IN and "walk through"**** ! ! ! . . .The problem: the warrant is from the CITY of Dallas, but in order to be processed for a CITY charge in Dallas you go through the COUNTY jail; but the COUNTY jail does not show a warrant for me and will not arrest me. . .I've called other surrounding cities/counties and they say if I turn myself in there, they will extradite me to Dallas COUNTY jail!. . . Help! How the hell do I resolve this?!

I want to be arrested so I can go in with my lawyer, bond set up, on my time, rather than just getting pulled over sometime and (surprise!) going to jail right then.

Well you would need to go to one of the district departments, talk to the detective's there, and tell them whats going on, and you want to know what to do. Before you do that make sure you have a lawyer easily available

Is this through the municipal court? Or County Court? If the warrant isn't active you may try turning yourself into the court. DO NOT disturb the court while it is going on. But try to get the bailiff's attention and explain your problem.

if the warrant is for unpaid fines, etc. maybe you can clear it up before the warrant becomes active. I would definetly talk to a lawyer if this is for anything but a lower class misdemeanor.
