What if when I die I just disappear after I die, experience nothingness forever. That would be horrible, everyone and everything i love gone :(
There is reincarnation too, but i would NEVER want that to happen. All these memories gone, the people i love gone, everything would be gone, another life would be a life not worth living, I love my friends and family too much to not be able to remember them.
I'm catholic, believe in it, but what if this heaven stuff isn't real, what if it doesn't happen, what if it's not true?
The experience of nothingness forever or reincarnation would be a fate worse than anything in my eyes. This has been bugging me for 2 days, the scary thing is I can't avoid it, it's going to happen, to me and the people i love...
I don't know what to do, or how to cope it. I wish there was a sign that Heaven is real...

I can't remember what it felt like before birth, it felt like nothingness, there was no such thing as me, there was no other world.
Experiencing that forever would be......
life is too short.......

Being a child was the best. I never did worry about these things, everything was just enjoyable and it happened.
Death could be just a dream, where nothing happens and you feel nothing. Resting forever, dreams feel nice accutally, I guess it wouldn't be so bad to be caught in a dream for the rest of forever. Death of nothingness there would be no fears, no worries, your just nothing. Maybe life is the real death, we have fears, we have worries, we're in danger of dying constantly.
I wish there was a Heaven, a Eden, the perfect place, a dream where I could get everything I want, a dream where everyone I love is, a perfect place. I guess it might be true, there might be no such thing as perfect, but it's nice to imagine.
If someone could talk to me I'd really like that

I recently went through the same problem you are having with your faith.I cannot prove to you that there is something beyond all this crap here on earth.I only have my faith in the fact that there is a God and although he seems to be sorely missing in this world right now,I believe in him.I am Catholic too but through my own experiences in this life I have found that the Catholic religion is not the religion I choose to follow anymore.I dont belong to any church,I believe that you have your own personal relationship with God and that only you and he know each other like you do.It is the same as a husband and wife or a brother and sister.I believe you need to treat all your fellow human and animal companions with dignity and respect.I believe you need to use Jesus as a role model with regards to how you treat your companions. And I believe if you try to live your life by a set of morals and values that is good, not evil, then you will be reborn in heaven.I have had some personal experiences that have led me to these conclusions.I just did not arbitrarily make this up.I know a lot of people here will say I am nuts.Oh well so be it because I have my faith and no one can ever take that from me.If you have faith then it puts all of this lifes problems in perspective.Good luck to you and try to have faith. In the end that is all you need.

At least you are giving it thought and that is a good thing. Some people are so caught up in this world and are only concerned about how they can get what they want now. Your questions are important ones.
I believe in heaven for one simple reason: God promised it .(John 11:25-26) I trust God in this life because He has always been there for me and taken care of my needs. So I trust in Him in the next life as well.
If there really is nothing at all after we are gone, then love is a curse. How sad to think that everyone I love will one day be gone forever. But I believe love is more glorious than that. I believe it is blessing beyond what we can perceive. If Jesus told us the truth, then love is eternal.

That's what you call having faith. You lack faith. Not much anyone can do for you on that point. You have to believe, that's why they call it faith. Understand.
And so what if you die and there is nothing like you think there will be, So what? You won't know anything about it if there is nothing.
Time to either renew your faith, or just give up on it and face your fears alone.
Billions of people have faith in a life after death. Isn't that enough of a sign for you? What kind of sign would you like? NEON !? If you don't have faith then ,.... you don't. What is anyone to do with someone tat doesn't have faith. It's a personal thing, they just can't write you a check and POW you have faith.
You have to make the choice for yourself.
Oh yeah, If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice.
Take it from there.

Yeah it's kinda scary. I hate when people say you'll know all the answers when you die. Like all the answers to everything all of a sudden comes to you. But honestly noone knows the answer. They just have their faith. And everybody's idea is different. I think heaven is the best one to hope for, other then disappearing or reincarnation. ohwell, I guess try not to think of it, or just not worry, because it will happen sooner or later, and why live life worrying about it.

You need to read more and prayer deeper. Your faith is extremely weak... try reading some C.S. Lewis like the Great Divorce, or Mere Christianity. Try books by G.K Chesterton like Everlasting Man or Joseph Ratzinger (yes the former Cardinal) there are so many but my favorite is Called to Communion. Deepen your faith the fear will disappear.
Once you accept death as just a transition of life you will be fine.

Life is life and death is death.
Death is only a fear because of the unknown.
What you are feeling is just a fear its self.
So you should be enjoying the life and not worrying about death.
While you are alive, use your life to do as many good things as you can so people will remember you for a very long time.
Life is not for ever but death is.
I also think you should talk to your doctor as it sounds to me that you are experiencing a panic attack, and maybe even depression.
( By the way, for me, the reincarnation is every person living trough another person even when they are gone. For example, my children are re-incarnation of me. And I will live trough them for a very long time. My blood is in their vein's, I see some of my habits in them, I see some of my talents in them, they look almost like me, they behave almost like me, yet they are people in their own right. That is what re-incarnation is for me.)

personally I accept the reality of Reincarnation, and Ihave never had the issues your having with it. because the memorys aren't gone, they are just... sleeping. do you remember every minute of your childhood? of course not. hell theres probably loads of things in there that at any one time, you don't remember.
imagine it as being like that, but on a greater scale. that your life as you know it now, during your next incarnation, will be essentailly like the times in your youth within this life, that you don't actually remember. you might remember some vague things when you stumble upon something that stirs up an echo from that time... hpefully you get what I mean.
anyway, if "nothing" exists,... well, who cares? I mean I agree that utter non-existance is horrifying, worse than a hell IMO, but at the same time... you wouldn't know it so really you couldn't care.

I can offer you accurate knowledge of what the Bible really teaches. God is awesome and he knows that we, as humans, love our families and our friends very much. He should, he created us! Well, we have hope of life everlasting on earth , as the humans that God created us to be. God's purpose for us has not changed since he first created us. He never planned on creating us as humans so that we could die and go to heaven. He created us to live forever upon the earth...our proper dwelling place. He has put into place a plan to restore his original purpose.
It is called God's Kingdom. The subjects of that Kingdom will reside on the earth, but it will be ruled from heaven. Jesus is the King of that Kingdom. But the really neat thing is that all those who have died (except for a few who God has judged unworthy) will be resurrected and have a chance to live forever on the earth, along with some who will never die.
John 5:28 & 29; " Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment. "
Acts 24:15: "I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous"
So people living at that time will be reunited with their dead loved ones, and they will know each other, because they will be human. We can welcome them back and actually hug them and touch them! How wonderful it will be for children to be reunited with formerly dead parents, and maybe even parents whose child died young can be reunited with them. That is how much God loves us! Yes, some, a limited number of anointed Christians will go to heaven, but most of us have the hope of life everlasting on earth, just as God purposed from the beginning of his human creation. To find out more please go to the following link and research everything that you can find that you question. You will find only Scriptural counsel, and you will find accurate knowledge of what the Bible really teaches. You are searching, please give this your serious consideration.

Well, theres no such thing as reincarnation so there's no danger of that. As for nothingness after death, that's what all the atheists and evolution people are hoping for, but that is not what the Bible says will happen either.
What the Bible does say is that we are all eternal beings, and that we are going to exist somewhere for eternity (without end). The decision you need to make is WHERE. Heaven is a real place. It is a good place. It's where God lives, and He wants you to live there with Him, because He is good and kind.
The only alternate place for you to live in eternity is in a terrible place that was not intended for any human being to live. It was prepared for God's enemies, the devil (satan) and the angels that work for him. It was always God's plan for us to live with Him, so He didn't make any other plans. If we refuse His plan for us to live with Him in heaven, we have to be in the place of torment with the devils.
AGAIN, God does not want you to be in the place called hell. But He will respect your decision, if you insist upon going there. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to be your Savior and to pay the price for you to be able to go to heaven. It is absolutely essential, if you want to be in heaven in eternity, that you accept His offer of paying for your sins.
It is as simple as saying "yes" to Jesus.
