As for wine, I suggest a Sangria, or wine with a fruited taste. Depending on how much of it you like to make. Also a litter of 7up or Sprite is needed as well as some Brandy to your tast. Than added fruit like red apples peeled chopped up in small Pisces, same for green granny apples, as well as mango & green seedless grapes work well; but better if fruit was frozen.

Best if made the night before, so the sweetness of the fruit & wine & liquor mix up to give it the tase thats a hit for any type of celebration.

Also as for Champane, Martiini & Rossi, Asti Spumanti. This works good with Frozen Strawberry or any frozen fruit of your choice as well. Make sure the Champane is chilled & Flute Glasses are nice when used.

I would say what ever it is you enjoy is the drink you should have. Personally, I don't drink much. I was a heavy drinker in my teenage years. Now, I enjoy a good red wine, a Merlot or Cab.
What ever you enjoy, drink it and have a very happy and SAFE New Year!

Champagne! By itself or, I like the pomegranite mix suggestion- but mix Champagne w/ ANY juice you like and it will be divine- peach nectar, oj, cranberry, mango!
OR get a liquer like grand marnier, or chambord, or framboise....those w/ Champagne or very good.
Have fun & drink responsibly.

Vodka and Tonic is always classy.
Crown and Cranberry is good for drinks or shots. (redheaded S.L.U.T is the shot version)
Or if you want something a little more exciting.
151, malibu rum, pineapple juice
