Not as strange as it seems.
In every church I have ever attended I see people commiting what they refer to as sins (lies, fornication, envy, etc...) in church, they take great care to hide what they are doing from each other, but if they really belive in God then they know that they cannot hide from him. But they seem more afraid of their church bretherin catching them than the fate of their eternal souls. Look at the peodiphile priests in the Catholic church as one example, how can people of God do this if they realy belive they will go to hell?

I think its more of a matter that they are afraid NOT to believe and come to their faith through fear. Fear of damnation and hellfire, fear of eternal torture and pain, fear of not having enough faith and fear of being what they are human beings. Human beings with all the faults and foibles. In trying to emulate Jesus they forget they are only human and all he asked of anyone was to simply love one another and to treat each other as we would want to be treated. All the rest is bizarre constructs and demands that were never asked for but were put upon human beings of that faith like a yoke a millstone that they have to drag around; the millstone was to reject their human-ness and that only leads to perversions of human beings.

All Man sins. Trust me...It would be awesome if it was possible to live life with no sin but in all honesty it's near impossible. The good thing is that God is a very forgiving God. If you sincerely are sorry for your sins then they're forgiving. Pretty neat!

Why are we a slave to a god that doesn't exists. Through the years, the bible has been translated by many people with many different languages and as we all know that some words mean different in other languages. We need to believe in something, then believe in ourselves.

those of The True Christian Faith know God.... unfortunatly there are more who just "think" they are Christians.... you are correct in your understanding that God knows what is going on... kain't hide nut'n from God...we each are going to be held acountable and will be judged accourdingly...Those of The True Christian Faith are not perfect...we all sin... some of us more thatn others...but all do... it is a good thing that it is not sin that keep any one out of Heaven or condems them to eternal seperation...But Jesus The Christ has paid the sin debt for all of mankind. Past, present, and future..... what will keep most from God is refusing to accept Christ's payent and accept Him as Lord and Master...and rejecting God Him self...all who reject God will, ultimatly, be rejected by Him.

Maybe they are not Christians. You can call yourself anything you want, but Jesus said of some "But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep" (John 10:26)
"Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him" (Romans 8:9)
"You must be born again" (John 3:7)

You don't stop sinning just because you're a Christian. We are walking around in a corrupted flesh body. We repent and turn away from our sin. We are to be pleasing to God, not ourselves, but as humans we err often.

Because we were born of flesh and act on our flesh and we constantly have the devil in our ear telling us God doesn't love us that is why christians sin and the reason we dont want other to know is that we dont want to have to face the truth and we do feel guilt embarasment and shame.

I am a Christian who believes in God.
~2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.~

Every man and woman sin....no one is perfect except Jesus....that is why he died on the cross, to forgive our sins. People are going to sin no matter if they are christian or not. It is part of being human.....That is why we ask for forgiveness and through Jesus we shall be saved.....
