More information would help.
Are you just recently having problems sleeping?
Is there something on your mind that is keeping you awake?
I use a white noise machine- that masks noises as well as have a fan blowing nearby. I use a lavendar vanilla pillow spray that is relaxing. I try not to eat right before going to bed and will sometimes watch tv to relax - in bed. I also have great bedding and pillows. That helps too.
If you don't fall asleep in 20 minutes- get up for 20 minutes and do something else then try again.
Hope some of these ideas can help you- time goes by so slowly in the middle of the night.
Hope some of

Have a heat bathe or meditate, or maybe choose for a jog, carry out a little style of exact exertion. Erm, regardless of in case you don't get to sleep till ultimately 2 in the morning, make certain you have become up on an analogous time each and every morning. attempt and normalize your recurring. Failing that pass to a doctor to attempt and organise counselling, even nonetheless drugs for sleep over a protracted era are in no way a good theory! they are able to alter into addictive and infrequently artwork for extremely long.

buy a small rose quartz crystal.... and put it under your pillow or hold it at night in bed.
there are many mental exercises you can do but this ones the best:
go flying, its such a fasinating activity. lie in bed and close your eyes, gather together your spirit, the bit of you that is of ur mind, rather than body. its ur imagination, ur thoughtsm ur dreams, ur character, your emotions, the inner you.
allow this bit of urself to rise up over the body and see how the room looks from a birds eye view angle. continue upwards through the ceiling and keep going, until you end up on ur roof. now you can take flight anywhere you wish. concentrate on being able to see whats down below. be it roof, tops and gardens, woodland, farmland or the coast. now off you go, go exploring i swear you'l be asleep b4 you finsh ur journey but u'll wakeup back in ur body..
i personally prefer to go shopping while flying or go and spy on someone while they're sleeping
goodluck

Hard work and a clear mind do help. I have developed a little technique that I use...I've been doing it a couple years now and it really knocks me out. I lay down and get comfortable...I won't allow myself to let my mind wonder (thats typically my problem) I take three long deep breaths...which each one I relax a little more...on the last breath I close my eyes. My body has gotten so used to this...I can knock myself out just about anywhere.
If all else fails....have a shot.

If I can't sleep take a bath in Lavender bath salts. You can also buy a Lavender pillow mist from Bath & Body works that is supposed to help you fall asleep.

Either from exhaustion (hard work) or from relaxation (reading a book) works for me. Create an environment for sleep. Turn down the lights an hour before bedtime and listen to soft music.

Lay down with your eyes closed in a comfortable room.
Try to regulate your breathing to approximately 8 breaths per minute.
Clear your mind of all thoughts and relax.
Eventually, you should fall asleep.
If this doesn't work, see your doctor about medication to help you sleep, such as Ambian.

This is what I do every night. I watch my favorite show, and I am like wayy awake then. So that gets me all excited. Next I watch a boring TV show, and from being excited before, this gets extremely boring and then, BOOM! I hit the pillow and close my eyes and fall asleep.
Also, I got a new blanlet, it's so soft and cozy, you should get one you like.

You could try the easy way...eat lots of turkey.
Turkeys got a chemical in them that makes you sleep.
Alternatively, get a air ionizer. Charged air makes you sleepy; same as after a rain storm - the charged air makes you feel drowsy.

Some people find 'white noise' calming. Turn a fan to low, have your tv on low volume, or buy a white noise machine. I also like herbal NOT CAFFINATED tea, or warm milk.
