I guess there was shampoo or something in it. anyway does anyone know what this cap is called and can you buy them. my mother is handicapped and it would be great to have something like that when doing her hair if she doesnt feel like a shower that day but her hair is dirty .
thanks in advanced

Hair Washing Cap

The caps come with shampoo that doesn't have to be rinsed out. You might talk a nurse or nurse's aid in to sending you home with a few until you can find some. Otherwise, check the package, and look for the manufacturer...you might be able to locate them on the internet. Another possible solution is checking out medical supply stores. You'd be amazed at all the different necessities they carry for bedridden or homebound patients.

How to Wash Hair in a Hospital 1. Go into the toilets and rinse your hair in the toilet water(it's ok, it is a hospital so the water should be healthy) 2. Now flush the toilet with your hair still in it so your hair can thoroughly be washed 3. Get hand gel in the bathroom and rub your hair with it to give a nice luxurious fresh look 4. Dry your hair with one of those drying machines.

You cannot buy the wash cap but if you go to a medical supply store or a beauty supply they should have a no rinse shampoo that you rub in and wipe out.

Have you tried a medical supply store? Or spoken to your mother's physician at the hospital? Maybe they can give your mother some of these caps for free.

No I don't know but you could call or search a Medical Supply store or website and they should know. Or better yet call that hospital floor and ask them what it's called so you can better describe it to the Medical Supply Store website or locally. Good Luck!

There is is this stuff you can buy at the drug store, Shampoo in a can, or something like that its called;one is called Pssst Shampoo Spray, available from vermontcountrystore.com, you spray it on their hair then brush it out and its almost like washing your hair. We used it for my aunt when she was bedridden.
