Sit on the edge of a chair, holding on to the armrests, then lift your legs up and down, slowly.
Or do situps and crunches.
**The MOST IMPORTANT thing to remember: Suck in your tummy when doing ANY exercises!! It will help make it flatter.**

Almost a question like "how do you cure a cold?" But, I 've found that if you get one of those heavy medicine balls, it helps. First of all, pu it on top of your chest while you do situps. Get a friend to hold your feet, press your lower back to the floor and do as many as you can. Also, take the ball, stand with your feet shoulder width apart and swing the ball from side to side without moving your hip bones, just your shoulders. this helped my obliques a lot, but I still have that little belly thing :( Good luck!

After gallbladder surgery following pregnancy, my surgeon told me how to get my stomach flat. Lie on your back on the bed. Slowly lift your legs while keeping them together. At the highest point, slowly spread your legs apart. Hold for a few seconds. Slowly bring them together while still up in the air. Hold for a few seconds. Slowly bring them back down on the bed. Repeat several times every morning. After six weeks, you will start to notice the results. My surgeon said sit ups are horrible. All they do is create lower back problems. I hope this helps. Good luck!

My daughter's Ballet instructor told me that the best thing you can do is just keep sucking it in. When you sit, when you walk etc. Just suck it in. Also, I read that if you expell all your air and then suck your gut in and hold it for a minute or so it helps to flatten it too--it is called "vaccuming" I believe.

You could also try losing weight by walking. If you have a spare tire, you are probably overweight. Check out your B.M.I and then adjust your caloric intake. Drink a lot of water to fill up and shed your tire!!

I do push ups. (the customary ones, no longer the lady ones) in case you do them actual your abs ought to artwork extremely difficult to maintain your back immediately. i'm getting greater tone out of pushups than doing two times as many sit down ups. the issue is, that in case you have a layer of fat over your muscle groups, you've the main toned muscle groups of your existence and nonetheless no longer see them. So, do no longer ignore to function some cardio into your work out.

Cardio & kicks. Raise you leg up as high as you can, and that uses your lower ab muscles.
