Wash it at least every two weeks, or wait even more. People who can't grow their hair fast, it's because of too much chemicals. If you use perms, let a hair dresser do it, and you should get that done at least 4, 5 to 6 months. And it all depends on your hair texture. I'm black, my hair is fairly kinky, but straight when permed, and I go months just using oil and grease, and sometimes using a flat iron. Sounds nasty to not wash it, but it actually grows that way.

I just recentley donated my hair to Lock for Love and i waited 5 years to get it to be about 3 1/2 feet long. I know that sounds like a lot of time but it goes by fast. Keep your hair healthy, only wash it really every other day, you can still take a shower just dont wash your hair everyday. keep it untangled, if its knotty, it doesnt grow as well. also, be sure to keep your ends nice. trim them about a half inch or so every few months. split ends do slow down the hair growing process. also, dont wear your hair in a ponytail at night, it splits hairs and leaves those weird lines that are so annoying to get out and your hair grows mostly at night so you want to give it "room" to grow. oh and if you do want to wear your hair up at night on occasion, french braids, that old tale about your hair growing faster in braids is true. but the main thing to help your hair grow is to keep it healthy and split-end free. Happy growing!

Trimming it every 6-7 weeks.
