My ex boyfriend broke up with my almost 2 years ago. I've tried so many things to keep myself busy and not to think about this but it keeps coming up. I'm still not over with this. How long did you take you to get over your first love?

Seriously... You never COMPLETELY get over your first love. I think once you allow your heart to open enough to let someone else in -- you are close.

I broke up with my ex over 2 years ago and I'm still not over him. We broke up not being able to cope with a long distance relationship but now there's some part of me that knows it could have worked out.

I've always held a sacred place in my heart 4 my 1st love, & probably always will, thats just human nature. But the reality of moving on & getting past it is inevitable. No thing or person will replace the love u2 shared, so dont resort yourself 2finding any replacements, as some people do. It is just a matter of time that heals it & finding acceptance. Its a hard thing 2do & for each person it is different. And as most people say..."you will find some1...blah, blah, blah." It will never get you thru your experience with him, only u can do that.

about 2 years, it stopped hurting so badly, and I could go out and actually have fun again. But, to this day I still think about her, and it's been maybe 7 years- not sure exactly how long.
Sorry, I know how rough that can be.

its been 4 years and i still thank about him almost every day i talk to him every now and then but iam glad we are friends . i dont know what i would do with out him as a friend

3 and 1/2 maybe 4 years till now recently....She was sweet, caring, loving, the kind of girl whom I would risk my life for....unfortunatlly somewhere in 8th grade she changed in her personality....now she is totally different (basically she changed to the worst) and ive try to keep her off my mind permenantly....I hate it when things change for the worse.
P.S We were not in a relationship

Its really hard ok but it will be worth it if you really love this person than you will get back with them if you guys aren't true loves then you will get over him yes it will be hard well good luck i hope you have a goof life just remeber you have a garden angel over you you will get threw tough time bye! A person never does get over the lose of a person they love.
remember you may have loved a person in the past but, It is very likely that you loved who they where in the past but, not who they are today.

Still trying to recover from my "first love" even though I have moved on and am happy in life certain smells or songs will always remind me of him.
