About 5 months ago I accidentally blurted out to a friend of mine that I loved my best friend, a mutual friend of ours, during an argument and we soon got into a romantic relationship. He's the love of my life but I'm not sure if we did the right thing in getting romantically involved. Should we stay together or could this cause problems down the road?

Aw if things are working out for you guys don't second guess. The best relationships are when you are comfortable with the one you love. And it seems you are. If thing should go sour, which I doubt, it may be hard but at least you know that you were truly loved. Every heartache brings pain but just because you all were friends doesn't mean it wrong. It right! and I think you wasted five points asking a question that you already know the answer too! :oP smile!

Wow! That is a very good question. You do know that your relationship will never be the same again. It's not that it will cause problems down the road it's that your relationship will never ever be the same since you got romantically involved.

If things are going well now, the only thing that's going to cause problems is your own self doubt over whether or not you "did the right thing." And besides, it's always best to have the person you're in a relationship be your best friend.

hey, i always consider a friendship-to-relationship as a positive upgrade.. if it has been working out for 5 months, then great!

it would be sad if the relationship didn't work, as then you'd lose both a lover and a friend. but you can't think that way. focus on making it work...

you've crossed the line from friend to lover, and you can't go back now..

You can have no better ground for a relationship then being true friends. Just keep talking to them and everything will work out.
