i am trying to plan a day to go kite flying and want to know the best conditions, especially wind speed, so i can forecase and plan in advance. thank you!

Check the weather forecast for the week.
It tells you wind speed and direction.
Do not ever fly if it's about to storm.
Lightning strikes can happen even though
storms are more than 10 miles away, I've seen it
happen.
And this may sound stupid, but you'll be surprised at
how many people do it. NEVER FLY NEAR POWER LINES.
I've been a Pro flyer and instructor for over 20 yrs, and no matter
how many times I tell people not to do it, they still do.
I tell them "what part of don't fly near the power lines didn't you
understand?" And they give me that dumb look, like a dog staring
at a clock. Then they want me to get their kite for them.
So don't be one of those people, it's a good way to die.

right now it would probably be a clear cold and windy day with between 15 to 20 knot winds
