it's like a club..but a veryy exclusive club for men. You have to pay every semester in college to be a part of it. To be chosen for it you have to go through weeks of being picked apart, being under a microscope, and usually hazed.

It also depends on what fraternities you are talking about. All Fraternities that are within the Divine Nine are Community based. Community Service is the goal. Yes they do party and have fun but it a brotherhood. The fraternities in the Divine Nine are a life long commitment and are taken very seriously. Not all are full of idiots. If you are thinking about a fraternity research it and find out the reasons and foundation it was built on.

It's a greek organization in college. If you want to join you have to go through a pledge semester and if they accept you then you become a brother. It's mainly about brotherhood and if you join a national fraternity then it can look great on applications for jobs, especially is some one in control of hiring belonged to that fraternity.
