I'm so sick of hearing religous insults! I don't care what religion they are or even if they have one. These people made up thier minds about what they whant to be. Sure spread your religion in a positive manner but stop insulting others. Im a christian and want to spread the words of the gospel you dont see me going around and complaining about other religions. I respect them it's about time everyone does.

If you are a Christian and you spread the words of the gospel in truth, you will be insulting people. There is no way around not insulting people. That is the power of the word of God, it convicts the heart and soul. Setting people straight with the truth of God is the first act of any Christian who wishes to proclaim their faith. People hate truth...

I don't agree with acgsk. Even though your faith can be a battle doesn't mean all of it is war. But, no there can't be "religious peace" until the coming of Christ. According to John 3:16 we will live eternally in heaven if we believe. Heaven is the peace, not the believing. Believing is the warfare. But we will always win the battles because the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but in mighty of God for pulling down strongholds (2nd Corintians 10:4).

Religion is about war. Religion is about getting others to believe what you do no matter what the cost, or killing those that don't believe what you do for being "infidels".

With the fall of the Roman Empire, the librarian of Alexandria was pulled off her carriage and skinned alive. Literacy dropped. Even the Pope had to have the Bible read to him. In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children. Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft. There were the Salem witch trials (1692) in America. The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe. In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people. In the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered. Muslims and Christians in Bosnia reached a death toll of over 250,000.

I agree totally further by the way some act it only insights people's rage toward our savior. It is a terrible shame and as a Christian we should be more concerned with these problems within our own ranks than what the unrepentant are doing because of the way some of us who claim to be Christians treat others it is only by a miracle from God that any are able to see past them to Him. Let's pray for God to show them they should stop.

That's a very nice attitude, but even Jesus had the occasion to criticize so-called religionists. He was always coming down on the Pharisees and Sadduces, the hypocrites and literalists who did not know that "the letter of the law kills, while the spirit of the law gives life."And perhaps that why Jesus was killed, because he called a spade a spade and a fool a fool. But let's face it, none of us are Jesus and most of us don't have the authority to put hypocrites in their place. For me, it's "judge not, lest you be judged."

I agree with you. It is time that people just learn to live with the rest. Bickering (or worse) about religion is such an oxymoron.

Jesus said there will always be wars and rumors of wars, but He promised to be with us always. That's my PEACE...that Jesus is with me always. Think about that for a minute, and the peace of that promise will engulf you. Thank God, and thank you for the question.
