Islam is a religion that believes in acts if you do good you will be rewarded and in case of bad acts hell is your destination, and respecting your parents is one of the most imprtant act for all muslims. To teach how many rights your mother has this is the most vital statement that can help you understand how to deal with your mother. You are not even supposed to say 'uff' to her. Explanation to this statement will lead you to always be humble, polite, caring and respectfull to your mother if you want a good reward (heaven). if you are disrespectfull to your mother its a great sin.

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, “ Paradise is at the feet of the mother.
...because you're mother went through so much for you, she gave birth to you. And the mother has a big responsibility in raising the family with morals and stuff like that. It shows just how important mothers are and how much respect should be paid to them.

When you are a baby paradise lies about 8" below her chin, when you are older you don't really think of it as Paradise any more and what was has moved about another 6" lower.

yes,its true paradise does lies at the feet of the mother! if you treat you mother well and pleasently you would be going to heaven! everything a mother does she get a "sawab" and she be going to heaven!

Your mother is your first teacher. The mother has nutured every human on this planet from birth and will love you until death. What human can love more or better than a mother?

that is true coz she is the one who had been patient all the month untile you were born she was the one who will stay at late at night when ur sick . their is a hadith for prohet mohammed the best friend is ur mother and then ur mother and then ur mother and then ur mother and then ur father .
