Ever hear the phrase, "You can dish it out, but you can't take it"? Christian fundamentalists have been on the attack for years now, trying to deny rights to homosexuals, trying to outlaw abortions, trying to keep women from obtaining equal rights, and trying to impose their own morals - many of them non-biblical - on the rest of society. Non-Fundamentalists are finally fighting back by speaking out against their campaigns, their media onslaughts, and their mistaken notions of truth, and the Fundamentalists don't like it very much. They can dish it out, but they can't take it. So when people of good conscience stand up for their rights, Fundamentalists cry foul play.

I really think that Yahoo Answers is just turning into one big argument between Christians and Atheists. But really what each side is doing is expressing their opinion, and no one is more right or wrong than the other. If religious questions were never brought up in the first place, I feel that the community would prosper, and these religious fights would not split the people in two.

By the way, I'm an Atheist, and I would rather not argue my beliefs with others, that's how the Middle East became the way it is today...

I don't hate christians, I hate christianity and all other religions.

However, I despise people that can't spell, and don't know the difference between their, there and they're.

And if you think christians "respect" atheists, then you obviously are a newbie on this forum, as some of the most vile insults come from christians. Typically, you want to report us just for existing....just like your predecessors wanted us burned at the stake for not agreeing to go along with the mass delusion that is christianity.

Atheists do not believe in any god or gods, or any other supernatural entity.
So if you were truly unselfish your question should read:-

Don't u think all the people on y!answers who express their hate about people of faith should be reported.........?

So rather than persuade atheists with reasoned argument, for century's the Christian way has been to kill them. You cannot do this easily now, so you wish to use censorship to stifle the freedom of choice you claim your god has given to man.
If you cannot effectively defend your religion, then maybe it's not worth defending.

anyone can say what they want. If its a direct attack then yes report them. But if your taking offense because of the way they express there beliefs , then your just as bad as them.
I dont believe in anything but respect the views of others no matter what religion they are. I have many friends of different religions that get along fine. It doesn´t come down to your beliefs , but more how much respect a person has to another. And if they are just being rude , well report them

i think this place is somehow "on the edge"...because you cant express freely your opinions without being judged by the one who posts after wards or receiving the "thumbs down" for something you've just said...it is quite sad to see that here, where everybody is anonymous and express what they feel, some (many, in fact) have personality issues because they dint believe in something or are a bit extremist or have old fashioned mentalities..unfortunately you see many saying stuff like men Superior to women, Muslims are terrorist, god doesn't exist)...the fact is that you cant report such people because everybody is free to believe whatever they want but on the other hand to make either Nazi comments or express hate against other religions can get you arrested in some places... but fortunately not all people are like that

No. If someone says they hate you because you are a Christian, then you must be on the right track. The world did not treat Jesus very well either while He was here. So thumbs down will prove my point.
Let the atheists have their say(it is their right) as their words will fall to the ground and are meaningless and soon will be forgotten.
The words of Jesus are 21 centuries old now and still carry much meaning and always will until the end of time.

I'm an atheist. However, most of us feel that we need to assert our beliefs because religion has been rammed down our throats so many times.

They shouldn't be reported, just as you have your right to express your love for God, we should be able to express our contempt.

I, myself, am Christian, to start this answer. I guess since freedom of speech protects most anyone from saying just about anything, one may have to turn the other cheek over insults, threats, teasing, and anything uncouth. If you are a Christian and have some awareness of the prophecies, you may actually take pity on those who mock the Lord and those who follow Him since you know what will come to them. Also, look how sad it is that these 'atheists' you speak of 'express their hate' of Christians; what a miserable way of going through life to have anger and hate towards anyone-goes to show how much angst and turmoil plagues these hateful atheists....Just something to ponder :-)
God Bless, Jen

Christians like you are why atheists hate christians. You seem to be so obsessed with the idea that god exists that you need to express your hate for atheists and want to ban those who disagree with you.

well, i'm an atheist, but i decide not to answer those types of questions - why answer something you don't know or don't care to know about? it doesn't make me a bad person, unless i choose to behave in a rude, ignorant manner.

we all have a right to our opinions, but for those people who are being jerks and are just plain mean, then yes, those people should definitely be reported. as for those who are sharing their opinions, leave it be. it's not every christians "duty" to convert the world to their way of thinking. a true christian would accept that others are different and not let it bother them to the point that they feel it necessary to "report" others that don't share their beliefs.
