Okay, the only way that you can prevent split ends by moisturizing (washing it once a week, using rosemary or essential oils as a hot-oil treatment and/ormoisturizer) your hair but a few good shampoos and conditioners (they are a team) are :Doo Grow Moisturizing Shampoo, Aphogee Shampoo for Damaged Hair, Paravenue Shampoo, Elastqa QP Intense Fortyfying Conditioner, Paravenue After the Shampoo Conditioner as well as Aphogee's Oil Sheen is great too. Shampoo is a cleanser for your hair and scalp, and dries out your hair if you only shampoo, Conditioner put that moisture back into your hair, when it comes to split ends you need a deep hair treatment for split ends and a haircut just a trim nothing short, its a start. Good Luck!

any name brand shampoo is good for your hair, but it's the conditioner that you use afterwards that slows or halts the split ends. You get split ends sometimes from the wind, from overdrying your hair with your hair dryer, from not using a conditioner. I use Flex conditioner (Flex is a very old but superb brand) and I buy it in the grocery store. It works well to prevent split ends.

good conditioner and tiny 6 week trims help alot. if your hair is to thin for conditioner try not to use alot of heat styling.
