if you believe in God's holy word, then you must believe in the institution that God inspired to assemble the Bible, right? How could you believe in the bible, but reject the church that made the core of the christian faith (nicene creed in 312 a.d) and chose the books to put into the bible canon. I believe both the Catholic Church and Bible are inspired, even if the church has been prone to corruption. what do you think??

I believe in the Bible. It took me a long time to find a church that followed the Bible but I finally found one. If a Church teaches or believes anything other then what is written in the King James Version Bible then it is a case of false profits.

Jesus gave authority to his church to do the very same things that God the Father sent Jesus to do.

Jesus gave that authority to the supernatural institution he founded for our salvation, to the men he appointed to rule and govern it, and to their duly ordained successors. Forever.

Jesus knew better than anyone how corrupt men are. He most certainly took that into account when he founded his church.

Anyone who reads the Bible without bias and preconceptions should come away with this basic understanding, simply because it is TRUE.

And nothing ... no excuse, no accusation, no finding of corruption, or anything else, provides justification to ignore God's spoken and written word in this most essential matter.

It is the Catholic Church which compiled the canon of scripture and it is the Catholic Church which testifies, according to the authority God gave to the Catholic Church alone, to both it's inerrancy and to it's inspired nature.

I believe in God, but not in any particular institution. I just don't recognize the word of God in the actions of any insitutionalized religion, and again, that's my opinion. You, as everyone else, are entitled to yours.

THE CHURCH means ""the PEOPLE of GOD" or "GODS PEOPLE"
NOT a big building full of GOD, ornaments, and jube jube men dressed in costumes!

TRUE CHRISTIANS stay away from CULTS who "adjust" The BIBLE!

I think both are sources of authority, but I wouldn't place complete authority in either one. Both are human constructs, upheld by God, but still flawed. I think it's important to study scripture using reason and the teaching of the church through tradition.
