One of my really good guy friends has always been a player and cheated on every girl that he has been with. Well about 3 months ago he told me he is in love with me and everything he looks for in a girl I have. Well I have a hard time believing that so it brings me to the question... Once a cheater, always a cheater or do people change??

Being that you know his past, you should not even flater yourself. I think he just wants some cause he has not had you before. I can't say once a cheater always a cheater, but I can say this. Don't be a fool. Ive been cheated on, and the girl was sorry. A few years later she came back, but she came back having a bf already and ready to leave him to come back to me. How obvious is that. Just be careful. I want to say that he will not keep you long if you give him a shot. Im even willing to put money on it.

I believe that people do change. Talk to him about what you heard about him and your fears. If he wants you he has to reassure you with his behavior proving to you that he has changed. See how he behaves with you in the presence of other attractive women. If he is overtly flirtatious or spends a long time starring at them. You can assume that in your absence he would probably go for them. Players do change. They do grow up sometimes and realize they need a meaningful long term relationship with a woman. Then that only woman might actually brings them happiness. It is true that some men never change. Only his behavior will tell. Be on your guard and remember everybody deserves a second chance.

people do change, but not that, once a cheater always a cheater

and sounds like to me that he is just trying to play a game on you and use a line with you, you already seen that he cheats on other girls, and he probably used the same line on them as he is using on you, don't fall for it

People can change but the question is if they really want to. Personally this is not someone I would want to get involved with especially since you know his history. However, you may want to give him a chance just don't be surprised when or if he cheats on you.

hmm... well i would go out with him but make sure to keep a good eye and keep him interested in you so he wont be bothered to cheat cuz hes got the perfect girl already
if not just say thanks but you don't want to mess up your friendship and that you honestly don't want to risk him cheating on you

Go with your instinct. Specially if he has a history. I say from people I've spoken to, or known, that if they do it once, sooner or later they'll do it again...
