i think i have an appointment with a dermatologist, so i just wanted to make sure that they're the right type of physician for this...

yes dermatologists can work with sweat glands because they consist in your skin.

Yes they do. They'll probably recommend you out to someone if they believe someone else could do the trick!

Now, I do know that, might sound insane!! but botox injections will minimize the sweating. Ask the dermatologist at your visit.
