Since you claim that you didn't know what to say I have to conclude that you are not black because a black man would always know what to say in that situation.

No one gets kicked out of restaurant for being black anymore. Denny's taught the world a lesson. I don't believe you and if you got kicked out it's because something you did and not the color of your skin. I wonder if you are not black but trying to insite some sort of negativity. I am black and I don't really care for you to use your skin color as a reason that you were treated unfairly. I went to restaurant in Oregon everyone stopped talking and eating and began to stare at me. Like I didn't belong there. Well the waitress was as nice as could be and I didn't feel (from her anyway) that I would be treated any differently than any other customer. That was a Denny's about 15 years ago. So you are probably a liar or you are not telling the whole story.

Ok you're a little short on details here. What if anything did you do to be asked to leave? Were you loud or rude to the serving staff?

If none of that I would have said no I'm not leaving. Then if they got nasty with you I'd have called the cops.

You should of course report this to your human rights commission , naacp, the better business bureau, your local representative in the city you live in as well as your congress person and the governor of the state.

Perhaps I'm misguided but I don't think, particularly after the incidents in the 90s with Dennys restaurants that restaurants can refuse you service because of race.

However I think we need a few more details as to what exactly happened.

Being of a certain race or skin color is obviously not a just and moral reason for refusing to serve someone. If that was indeed the reason you were asked to leave, you should file a complaint with the police and the Better Business Bureau. If you don't get satisfactory results, contact your local branch of the NAACP and the ACLU. Racism mustn't be tolerated.

Forgive me, but in 2006?? I don't think you needed to say anything, honey. Practice a contemptuous look that you can throw and do it on the way the the restaurant's pay phone where you call the ACLU and report their racist behinds. Shame on them!

Join the ACLU. They will give you a card with a phone number on the back. Call that number when something like this happens, and they will take care of everything.

Well, I think you deserved it. And I also believe that you are white. Black people don't post questions just to see people's reactions.

Should've said: "Racist pig, it's 2006, not the 70s"

Is this stuff ever going to stop?
