Ewwwwww...........HERPES? simplex101 sorry it's not funny but after a year this is a serious issue that needs attention and perseverance your mom should not give up this is something that could progressively get worse left UN-checked & un-diagnosed DON'T GIVE UP........what have you done to change exposure issues? change your laundry detergent?analyze your bedding? is it 100% cotton? start looking at things that you are exposed to? food? clothing?animals?dust mites?family history might hold the key did your doctor know about your cousin?go see your cousins doctor did he cure her?

just me wrote laurdry soap, it could be so. My sis has to use low detergent soaps & baby laundry soap for her clothes. If you are a girl past puburty I would suggest zinc & vitamin A. I had what you have on the tummy on back of my upper arms looked alot alike. These vitimins helped.

My daughter broke out in a rash similar to yours. It ended up being an allergic reaction to sulfer in the laundry soap. I had to wash her clothes/sheets in 'Fresh Start" laundry soap three times before I noticed it getting better.

Try it. Doesn't cost a lot and you have to wash the clothes anyway.

You need to see a Dermatologist. You have had this condition for a year now without diagnosis or treatment - it is time to get something done about this and seeing a specialist is your best course of action.
