Trick question, eh? Well, according to Genesis 19:26, it was the wife of Lot that was turned into a pillar of salt, not dust.

It wasn't dust Lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt because she looked back at the city when she was told not to look back.

Lot's wife got turned into a pillar of salt? Probably turned to dust.
she was materialistic she kept looking back.
When he divided from Abraham the flocks and herds were so numerous that it was causing trouble. They were both rich.
Yet along with the city he lost the herds men the flocks and his wife. He got the first choice but it turned out to be a mistake.
Should have gave Abraham the best spot.

I believe you are referring to the wife of Lot who was turned into a pillar of salt because she turned and watched the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. This story is contained in the Old testament of the Bible.
