To make the long story short:
*long distance relationship (we are taking it more like in a friends kind of way)
*he wrote me a letter when I was leaving... the letter finished with a : Love and then his name
*I sent him an ecard just 3 days ago saying Love and my name

Is that bad??

PS: I DIDN'T TAKE THE L WORD TOO SERIOUSLY, BECAUSE WE HADN'T USED IT YET, SO I THOUGHT IT MEANT LIKE "WITH LOVE" OR SOMETHING.. What do you think

I have never been scared or somehow threatened by that word, in fact, it is always a good thing to know that someone cares that much for you, whether if it is a long term relationship or not.

I think some men get scared of the L word simply because society has programmed them to think that way. Your situation it could be something just casual. My friend and I used to tell each other we loved each other all the time, but when our relationship became more and we started dating...we never said it anymore because it would carry different connotations.

I figure if it hasnt been used like "I love you" yet, then yes it probably means "with love". Still you might want to communicate with him about this issue. You dont want to assume anything when it comes to relationships, otherwise you might be headed for a huge misunderstanding.

with love

No I don't think its bad at all . Its good etiquette to a close friend, who lives far away.

Don't think about it too much, until he pops a question or relates to something serious, then you'll know it really does mean something.

In my opinion, I like to know that you love me so I'm more secure about the relationship. So I'd say no they aren't, unless they don't like you which im sure isnt the case here

Depends on what they are in the relationship for... It might be prety selfish on the guy's part (if you know what I mean). Some men are fools and don't look at the "big picture".

Hell, hon, jump in head first and ask him...some men will run screaming at the first hint of THE L WORD!!! Then you have men like myself who" rush in where angels fear to tread" but then every woman I've ever known says 'all balls no brains' I hope that's a good thing! (lol) Good luck, hon.

thre's nothing to be scared of honey, I have lady friends who tell me that all the time, I wouldn't consider it too seriously if it's a long distance relationship

He meant it, he just said it to see if you'd say it back. He's not too sly.

Personally, I would never use it unless I meant it. If a girl said it to me, I wont't get scared. If I liked her, I would respond well, and if she was just a fling to me, I would use her and dump her.

I'm just being honest.
