do not go on the computer, watch tv or listen to music before bed because they stimulate your brain making you awake, for some people they might work but for others they dont I have the same problem as you. What I do is try to keep my sleep scheduale the same every night, try to relax, I read before bed, try to get exercise during the day, dont drink caffiene or eat a lot of sugar or carbs before bed. if you dont sleep at all go to your doctor maybe you have a sleep disorder

You could try a ticking clock. Listen to the clock to clear your mind, and time your breaths, (2 seconds in, 2 out, or whatever suits you best.) Maybe on the nights you CAN sleep, limit the hours you sleep so you are still tired for the next night. (my brother's theory, he claims it works) Excercising in the morning right when you wake up somehow helps. It works for me. And you could always take a soothing bath right before going to bed.

Clear your mind.Make yourself tired.Maybe go jogging a bit a couple of hours before bed time.No caffeine!!Turn on a fan.Try to get your room cool that way you will feel comfy under the covers and wont want to get up.Dont think of daily activities or anything that excites you,think as little as possible or about silly meaningless things.Go to sleep earlier

Well if you are to watch a film, watch Grave of the Fireflies. You'll cry yourself to sleep. Seriously!!
Some of other ways:
Eat lots of turkey.
Clean until you cant keep your eyes open.

try closing your eyes or drink a cup of wamr milk or tea that always helped me out alot or get some sleeping pills to make u sleep better

When you cant get to sleep soon after going to bed it is better to get up and do something boring or relaxing until you get sleepy. some people drink warm milk.

reading a book or magazine usually makes me really tired, as well as listening to my ipod, surfing online on the computer, watching a movie, talking on the phone, ect. good luckk!
