For the first two dates I kissed him on the cheek and gave him a hug, sensing he would not kiss me and afraid I might fall into the "friend only zone." If I have not scared him away by professing my fondness of him on our second date and get a third date at a New Years party should I (A) Ask him for a New Years kiss (B) Kiss him and catch him off guard (C) Do nothing. The guy won't be in town very long and I like him a lot.

hmm... i would normally say let the guy sweat it out. but if u like him a lot, and it's only the 3rd date, i say go for it, Esp cuz it's new years!!! everyone has to kiss on new years! and a kiss on the lips is the best way to find out if someone is Attracted to u. if he kisses u back, he may be interested. if he pulls away, he will let u know "le'ts be friends" or whatever the deal is. just don't get upset/sad about it.. at least u got it out in the open and figured it out. :) good luck!

C, definitely. Why are you obsessing over someone who will leave town soon? Find a local fellow. And remember, go SLOW. The kissing rate sounds OK, but sex should not come before six months. Hell, if you can stand it, wait until you get married. That's what I'm doing. Good luck!

He has the right to choose when he wants to kiss ANYONE. You've had two dates..that doesn't make a relationship...not even CLOSE to being a relationship. Stop trying to throw yourself at him or you might not have a date for New Year's Eve.

He's probably trying to be romantic and waiting to have your first kiss on new years. And even if he isn't, then kiss him on new years. What is there to lose? He's leaving town anyway.
Provided he doesn't have herpes or something, of course...

Flirt shamelessly if you want to kiss him. Then watch his reaction. Make your own move if you want, but you can be very encouraging without making a move yourself by flirting. That's the route I'd choose.

well even though hes leaving town... whats your rush? youre starting a relationship take it slow... at the new years party let things happen the way its supposed to... if he does then cool and if he doesnt dont be disappointed... he probably wants to take things slow
