Unfortunately, huskies do love to dig. (: What I'd suggest is not to try to eradicate this behavior completely, since your dog is hardwired to dig, but instead to provide a specific place for herr holes. If you frequent a beach or dog park, that's perfect. When she digs there, praise her and maybe go dig with her. When she begins to dig at home, say "Nope!" sharply to surprise her an interrupt the behavior. Then take her inside, thus ending her outdoor fun. In a little while, take her back out, but immediately go back inside if she starts to dig. This method provides an outlet for your dog's digging.
Alternatively, you could designate a small corner of the yard as her digging spot, and praise her for digging there and correct her for digging elsewhere.

you can get lime spray and coat the grass so that everything smells the same and she won't dig for what she smells below. This will also stop her from peeing in the same place so she won't kill your grass with that either. You could also just rub her nose in the hole and smack her on the nose hard enough so that she realizes that htis is a steady punishment for digging and she won't dig nemore because of the fear of being punished, of course you can only do this when u catch her in the act cause it wouldnt be fair to hit her after the deed was done.....

Do you have her on a leash or in a pin in the back yard?? If you have her in the pin in the back yard,I might suggest that you dig a trench along the sides of the pin,and put some sort of big poles in place, ans cover it up. When she goes to dig again she will stop because of the pole in her way,and she can't dig anymore. If she is on a leash you might want to try putting her on concrete floor where she can't dig anymore, other wise,if she is loose, I don't know what else to tell ya.

Hello!
Yes, that's frustrating! All of your answers are good! Whenever my retriever decorates my yard, I keep the dog-dung in a pail with a cover. I found if I mix fresh dog-dung with a cup of water, and pour the soup mix into her diging holes and mix a little with the loose digging dirt, the next time she heads for her favorite holes to dig in, she hits the stinky, smelly mix of her own dog dung, and she quits in a hurry! I learned this in obedience school, and it works! Try it!

spank and say NO and if she quits when you say give her a treat that so over time she'll get the hang of think digging holes = spank no digging holes = treat soon, if you work with her she'll get the hang of no and will stop for almost every thing but only do this with things you dont want her to do or else it might make stop doing something in her natural life also depending on how sensitive your dog is you need to determine how hard you need to spank it because if you spank it too hard you might make it a scared or mean/angry dog if you spank it too little it won't learn its lesson with some dogs just a firm tap will do but with others it might take a good smack but one big no that a lot of ppl do is scream at their dog i do sometimes but i try not to
1. becuase it turns them on t0o fighting and barking and it hurts their feelings ( the old golden rule applys to animals too )
2. sometimes they might attack ( mostly for small dogs though )
Good luck
