Is it wrong to flirt with someone for years and not act on it? There is a gal I see at work, used to see her a lot now kinda infrequently, and we have always been very flirty (well I know I have and it appears she is but I mean I cant say for sure)...I think she enjoys it, and I like her but I havent asked her out cos I have a little issue with workplace deals and I am not sure she is someone that could keep me interested long term. I wonder if I should just do it, like if I am leading her on, and also if its been so long its not even worth bothering at this point?

Dang! I know that I don't mind when guys flirt with me. Some guys have flirted with me for years and some even know that I am married.... It's harmless I think.... Why don't you think she would keep you interested? A date is a date. If it works out great, if not - just keep flirting!

No it's not wrong. I have a friend that I flirt with. It's fun. Im not sure if it would even go anywhere, but we like to flirt and it doesn't bother me at all. But if you want to go out with her, ask her somewhere casual and don't have expectations. Make it simple that way it's not akward at work the next day, then you guys may find out you really like eachother and continue to go out, but if not, this won't ruin anything.

Sounds to me like it's not worth the trip, if you get my drift. I mean, you've been playing around with her for so long, she probably just thinks of you as a friend or a brother by now. Even if you did "hit it" as they say, you'd feel weird (and she would too) at work. It would almost be like a mini-mariage...she'll feel like you and she are an item...and get jealous if you even look at other chicks at work. It's not worth the trip, Dude~man

Alright...you answered your own question...You are not sure if she could keep your interest long term....IF you've been flirting with her for years..I would say she has kept you pretty interested....Most men have a short flirting life and if a girl does not act on their constant advances they usually move on...BUT nope not you...You're still flirting with her...She's got something if you're even willing to ask this question on public domain...So toughen up chief and ask that girl out before she gets bored.....

Flirting is cute. Nothing wrong with flirting, but an office romance? I don't know bout that one. Always comes back to haunt you at some point. Flirting is a natural occurrence between two people who find attraction. Most times when you act on it, you are sorely disappointed :(
