A very very old wine is probably the right answer. As for the most expensive drink you can buy at a bar, King Loisse XIII. 50 year old Cognac. One shot will cost you $200. And that's before a mandatory very generous tip. Not many places will have it. And the only places that do, have it locked up in the back.
Cheers,

I read an AP story recently about a British fellow who paid $50,000 for a bottle of 100-year old scotch, who then opened it and drank it in his hotel room with friends. The bartender was given a shot as a tip, and he described it as the most beautiful thing he's ever tasted. I think there are 9 unopened bottles left.

If you're talking about alcohol, then there arer some rare wines that reach in excess of $50,000 a bottle. If you're talking about more morern drinks, then 150 yr old Grand Marnier or true Absinthe (at 200+ per bottle) would be the ones.

Probably a cognac or champagne. Old old stuff. Some wine costs alot too, but I'd bet some vintage cognac.

There are aged wines that go as high as $100,000 and up.
I would settle for a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue
