I'm a 17 year old girl and am about 5'7 and weigh about 125 pounds. I want to lose anywhere from 5-10 pounds before graduation. Everyone tells me that I will look anerexic if I lose that much weight, but I hate how much I weigh. 110-115 is my ideal weight. I try to eat right and excersice regularily, but I don't seem to be losing anything.

I know I shouldn't be so hard on myself but I weigh myself like everyday and if I gain like 1 pound I freak and I'll exercise for longer than normal, not much but like 20 minutes or so. I'm not anerexic or belemic either I eat, and I eat alot. I just wish I wasn't so worried about how much I weigh all the time. People tell me how beautiful and skinny I am and I can't see it. I truely think that if I just lost a bit of weight I would feel better about myself.

Yeah you will look anorexic if you lose that much weight. 110-115 is the ideal weight for a person about 4-5 inches shorter than you.

Instead of focusing on the number on the scale, how about you just go for muscle definition? It will tighten any skin that you think is too soft. That's what makes a lot of the models and actresses look great. They either work out or they have special makeup applied to their legs and arms to make it look like they have definition for the photo shoots.

Now, just remember that muscle weighs three times more than fat, so if you start working on building muscle the number on the scale will go up, but it is Not Fat. It's the muscle that you're working on.

It would be ok for u to lose about 5 pounds. However u are at a healthy weight for your age. Anything under 112 for u would be an unhealthy weight. Just work on eating healthier. Don't try any binge methods or anything. Also dont let the way u look overpower who u are inside.

If you want to knock off ten pounds, then slow down your eating. By eating slowly, you feel fuller, before you consume a large amount. You are over exercising and building muscle mass, which weighs haeavier, then fat. Take it a little easier, and you will see a gradual change.

Your perfect they way you weigh. I think you're fine. It's not much but you should at least lose 2 pds per week and eat healthy. Don't stress yourself out from this, the more you want to lose weight the less you'll lose weight. Don't think about it.

I think that if you lost 10 pounds you would look anorexic. I believe for someone your height you are the perfect weight.

i think its too much because your only 125...thats skinny! its gonna be hard to do it anyway but the best thing is watch what you eat. dont eat too much candy and snacks and you'll lose something just by that. good luck and dont be hard on yourself!

that sounds like a perfect weight (what your at right now), if you lose any then you will be super skinny, and you will look anorexic
