But still nothing. My tears meant nothing to Him. Im agnostic now.
People say, just have faith really believe pray.. ect. I did believe, but I have seen NOTHING in my life that proves he is there.

Brandie Thanks For Your Question
Brandie crying to God while you pray is something very spiritual don't think that when you cried God wasn't there you know God hears every single person that says "God" and he is close when you start to pray
But all that doesn't mean that he will do something , God could be testing you to see if you will keep praying or will you stop just because what you were asking for didn't happen...
If you want to talk more please msg me on abouterachess@yahoo.com :)
I hope I helped you with this answer

How much faith Brandie? You were so quick to turn from Him when you didn't get your answer. I don't know what your situation is but I am a Christian who believes in the power of prayer. Do you pray all the time or go to Him when you need or want something? Did you expect an answer the very moment you prayed? Does God know you as a person of faith?
You say you "see nothing". It is in Faith that we walk, not proof. Continue to pray, He is always near you. I'll pray for you.

Do not be discouraged by what can’t be true. Not one lie is true. We, as humans, are in our infancy in understanding the completeness of God, and so we can’t see truth yet, or move and exist without a seeming material image. But every lie must be brought down, and you are in the process of finding absolute truth. The wind is there and you have wings, but without faith, you will never be able to spread your wings. In other words, the mortal, material world will remain real to you. You may be agnostic for a season (this life), but time will require a change and so will your heart.

WHY AREN`T MY PRAYERS ANSWERED ??? Is all Prayer answered ? Scripture teaches us that God does answer our Prayers ( John 16:24 ) : but scripture also says` that there are some conditions for effective Prayer . What are some of the reasons the Bible gives for God not answering our Prayers ? ( 1 ) -- We don`t really believe God can answer them .. JESUS said " If you believe , you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer," ( Matthew 21 : 22 ... James wrote " But when he asks , he must believe and not doubt , because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea , blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything fron the Lord ; he is a double-minded man , unstable in all he does ".( James 1 : 6 - 8 ..** Believing is perhaps the best known condition for prayer . But there are other reasons prayer is not answered . ( 2 ) -- We ask for the wrong motives . " When you ask , you do not receive , because you ask with wrong motives , that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. " ( James 4 : 3 ) ( 3 ) -- Unconfessed sin separates us from God , so that He cannot hear . " Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save , nor His ear too dull to hear . But your iniquties ( sins ) have separated you from God ; your sins have hidden His face from you so that He will not hear " ( Isaiah 59 : 1 - 2 .. ( 4 ) ---- We set up idols in our hearts that come between us and God . " Son of man , these men have set up idols in their hearts and put wicked stumbling blocks before their faces . Should I let them inquire of me at all ? ( Ezekiel 14 : 3 ).. ( 5 ) ---- We don`t answer those who cry to us for help . " If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor , he too will cry out and not be answered " ( Proverbs 21 : 13 ) ( 6 ) ---- We don`t remain in God / God`s Word doesn`t remain in us . " if you remain in me my word remains in you , ask whatever you wish and it will be given to you . ( John 15 : 7 ) ************** Sometimes we don`t see or understand God`s answers . God is all - knowing and can see things we can`t . The Bible tells us to trust God rather than our own understanding of what`s best for us ..----- " Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding ; in all ways and acknowledge Him , and He will make your paths straight. " ( Proverbs 3 : 5 - 6 ) *************** The Bible also also says that God works in ways we sometimes can`t understand : " For my thoughts are not your thoughts , neither are your ways my ways , declared the Lord . As the heavens are higher higher that the earth , so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts . " ( Isaiah 55 : 8 - 9 ) ********************* 1st Corinthians 13 : 12 tells us that now we see things dimly , as in a mirror , but someday we will see clearly and understand how God answered our prayers .

Have you ever had family/friends whom you know are not doing the right thing, and no matter how you advice them, they never listen? We are all like that, sometimes, we don't know what is best for us, and people outside the picture sees what is best for us, but yet we do not see the reasoning. It's the same with God, He knows what's best, and He has His own way of dealing wsith your prayers. Sometimes He answers immediately, sometimes it might take a few months, or even a few years, or sometimes, He just says No. I've had moments like you too... when I feel like I'm in despair, but now I've learnt to listen to God. If you just sincerely tell God, I'm going to just sit here quietly by myself and listen to you, and won't budge until I hear you speak, then trust me, He will reveal himself to you. We always want immediate answers, but sometimes the timing is not right, and over the years, I've looked back and realized... oh yea, no wonder I had to wait that long! Do you know I prayed for 5 years for my spinal condition which cannot be cured, and now I do see a improvement in the spine, although not complete, I'm going to press further for complete recovery! And trust me, the 5 years was not an easy waiting time... sometimes I ask God why? WHy me? WHy doesn't He heal me? And I realized that actually through this spinal condition, I've actually grown to understand more friends who have similar conditions who doesn't have the strength to live through it! And I've been an encouragement to them! God knows how much each of us can withstand, He will put us through fiery test to strengthen our character, but never more than what we can take... He will always there for us! He is there for you! God loves you!

The Bible says to pray according to God's will. This is the most effective prayer.
You are not called to understand God's ways but to trust that He has the best of all His children.
Since I don't know what the prayer(s) were, I cannot go beyond to see if anything else could be a factor.

try writing your prayers down and wait and see the results later believing that he already answered you.......Write a prayer journel, l have and you can see the work hes' done for you.
Look in the book of Job. Satan has been testing your faith my friend. Dont let him win. Fight the good fight and be patient. l will be praying for you to stand your ground against the wiles of the devil. May the Lord never leave you.

GOD answers every prayer if you listen. If you didn't get what you wanted and are throwing a tantrum then I would suggest you take it up with GOD. I personally like it when I don't get my way. That tells me that my way was wrong and I made a good decision praying about it or I would of done something stupid or even fatal to my body and/or spirit.
That's why we tell you that.

Read a book by C.S. Lewis called 'A Grief Observed.' Its basically the answer to exactly what you are asking. Its a published version of his personal journal right after his wife died. He will do a much better job of articulating the answer to your question than anybody on here can.
Also, God is not a genie that grants your every wish. He does not do whats right in your eyes just because you ask for it. He never promised he would. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is twisting the scriptures. When Jesus said "ask for anything in my name and it will be given to you," he didnt mean just add 'in Jesus name' to the end of your prayers and you will get anything you want.
What did you want that he did not give you?

it works for me. I have many friends for whom it has worked. There is not enough information on what happened when you broke down to analyze the case. I know I had something inside me once that blocked my prayers and so I asked whats up.and God showed me and I changed it cuz I was definately in the wrong.
