Mouthwash with Hydrogen peroxide. It will help bubble the junk out and kill the pain. Mouthwash also with anti-bacterial mouthwash to kill any germs and deter infection.
There is a little tiny box of wax that is sold in dental departments. The wax is usually used for cushioning braces from cutting the gums. But that should work to pack the filling space and get the air out and keep the food out until you get it repaired. Keep your mouth shut, the air on the nerve is what hurts so much.

Advil is usually the best, but it sounds like it's not an inflammation problem. Try aspirin or Tylenol. I fell your pain, I inherited bad teeth. Also, clove oil can help. Or some hot tea, let it sit on the spot before you swallow. It will keep it warm and suck out any toxic goo. I've had some where I poked it with my fingernail as hard as I could, then let off and try to relax. It hurts at first but when you stop it seems to not hurt for a few minutes. I feel bad for you, I know what it's like!!! Also, call the small time dentists, some are open and have walk ins.

1. Rub an ice cube into the V-shaped area where the bones of the thumb and forefinger meet. Gently push the ice over the area for 5 to 7 minutes. 2. After each meal and at bedtime, stir 1 teaspoon of salt into an 8-ounce glass of water. Hold each mouthful, roll it around your mouth. Spit. 3. Hold a swig of whiskey over the painful tooth. Your gums will absorb some of the alcohol and that will numb the pain. 4. Drop a little oil of cloves directly onto the tooth, or dab a little on a cotton ball and pack the elixir next to the ache. 5. Take a mouthful of water (at body temperature) and rinse vigorously. There are emergency dental clinics. Your dentist's outgoing voice mail message may list one. IF not, your local public health dept may have a list so that you could get the contact info there. Or call an ER and ask if they have similar info.
Been there and done that, too.
To T boy, Motrin and Advil are the same thing, brand names for the generic med ibuprofen.

Tylenol 1 with codeine (you have to ask pharmacist in Canada, but don't need a prescription)works best believe me, I have a temporary root canal cap fall out and was suffering up until about an hour ago, a few of them and a hot cup of tea, with no sugar or cream, just a bit of cold water to cool it down a bit, and you will be good to go, also instant Tylenol gel caps extra strength, take 3 and they work within 30 seconds, i swear!!!

Take a shot of vodka and hold it in your mouth, on the tooth. You can spit it out if you want. In an hr or so the paid might come back, if you do it the second time, it is usally gone for the night.

take the max amount of advil, motrin or ibuprophen. as for the oragel-it's for gums, not teeth.
they sell a temporary filling material at walmart, i think it's in the section with the oragel etc..
this will at least block most of the air/water until you can get in to have it filled
