I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. The word religion comes from the Latin religio ("reverence" or "conscientiousness"). And while I believe in reverence and conscientiousness, I prefer to live my life by the guidance of reason and human compassion, without superstition.

Religion is called just that because there are so many of them to choose from from all corners of the globe.
It's hilarious to me when Christians convince themselves they don't follow a "religion" ..
