I don't like xmas and all the religious crap either, but what you did was way BEYOND rude.....It was just plain mean and stupid.
Xmas is JUST a freakin holiday! How can ANYbody NOT like a holiday?? It can mean whatever YOU want it to to yourself, so stop making such an *** of yourself about it.

Yup, it was rude and ignorant and childish.
As you grow up you'll learn to say "Same to you" when someone says "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Easter". Like it or not you live in a world where these are the norm. Go with the flow, take their blessing with the wish and don't interpret anything else into it.
Blessings,
Zimmi

Heck, yeah that was rude. As a wiccan, myself, I understand the frustration one can feel being wished "Merry Christmas" all the time. However, that doesn't give you or any one the right to say such a thing. IMO, saying FU to any one under any circumstance is rude and childish.

Yes, of course it was. They were obviously offering a kindness, and whether you believe in Christ or not, don't you believe in kindness either? Do you believe in anything? Maybe you should start to explore why you are an obvious miserable sadsack.
Go ahead, keep it up, friend, because I've got news for you: you being blatently rude to that person isn't gonna effect their life at all, other than to say "wow, that was rude". But mark my words on this day, it will effect yours. I can guarantee it will. Your life will be like a bucket with holes in it. Nothing will keep, nothing will stay, nothing should be your new user name.

Yes it was. Your co worker was being nice. You could have told him you didn't believe in whatever you didn't believe in, or just told him thank you. An apology might help, since you would see this person when you are at work.

I think you know the answer or you wouldn't still be thinking about it. Saying F-off to anyone is rude no matter what it pertains to.
I'm not a Christmas believer myself, but I would never be rude to anyone that is. Live and let live......believe what you want and let others do the same.

It's not only rude, it's ignorant. To say that to anyone for ANY reason shows your lack of maturity. You don't have to like what someone says, whether or not they are trying to be nice or rude. You should be the bigger person and smile when someone is just trying to be nice or walk away and ignore if they are trying to be rude.

That was really rude.
People have said Merry Christmas to me, even thought I don't believe in it, and all I said, nice and calmly, not to upset them, sorry I don't do Christmas, or anyhting to do with it. Sorry.
And everything is fine by them.
But why did you take it too far and saying that?

Most definitely. That just throws sand into the machinery of the relationship between believers and non-believers. A relationship that doesn't work too well to begin with.
Do what I do - Just say Happy Holidays back to them and smile.
