I'm not an expert, but here goes:

1. False (and True). He'll sleep around 10-12 hours of that day, but that leaves a lot of time in which he wants to run, play, work, eat, etc. But technically, those 10-12 hours could all be during the DAYtime, so he would sleep all day.
2. True. Dogs are much better behaved when those pesky reproductive urges aren't in the way.
3. True. I'd take mine to vet in less than three days!
4. False. No dog is hypo-allergenic.
5. False. Perhaps the owners should be labeled as viscious, seeing as how they made their rotweiler that way.
6. True (and a little false). Corn isn't natural to their diet, so it can be harmful. But, many dogs do just fine on a kibble that includes corn. I wouldn't go so far to say that no dog should ever have any kibble with corn in it.
7. True (and False). Ideally, the dog would have had some sort of obedience training before biting. But, better late than never. Unless the dog bit someone he's supposed to bite, like an intruder. Then no modification is necessary.
8. False. Those pups won't be so cute when they're whithering away in shelters because of the puppy overpopulation.
9. True. I think 8 is the absolute minimum, but most good breeders won't let the pups go even then.
10. True (and False). Most reputable breeders stick with one breed that they love and know, but some breed a few. Not necessarily just because they're good at it, though, but because they're committed to improving those breeds.
11. False. This one is just silly, I can't even comment.
12. False (and True). Depends on the dog's age and health, in my opinion.
13. True. How can someone breed a working/herding dog and not allow it to work or herd, or at least do SOMETHING to stimulate it.
14. False. Although many seem to disagree.
15. False. After years and years of being bred for companionship and jobs, outside 24/7 is no longer the dog's natural environment.
16. True (and False). Sometimes life won't let your doggie companion be lifelong.

1. No, they are an active breed.
2. It can because some show more aggression when they are not neutered or spayed but it can also make little difference. It goes both ways.
3. It depends on how much vomiting and how often. If it was continuous it would be good to get checked but if they are only eating their food too fast or something along those lines then you just need to find a way to make them slow down.
4. False.
5. Very untrue.
6. I have not heard anything about corn though I have heard things about peppers, chocolate, etc.
7.Dogs should be taught not to bite, if they draw blood then someone could get nasty and take you to court and your dog may need to be put down because of that person so I would say yes.
8. It's not a great reason.
9. At six weeks puppies are not ready to be separated from the mother dog so yes.
10. Not necessarily, it is good for them to have one breed that they focus on instead of a bunch that they focus less on.
11. False. Definitely not.
12. It's not the best thing to do to a dog and it would be preferable to take them out sometime in the middle but it isn't too long in most cases unless it is a young puppy.
13. All dogs require work daily, you cannot get any dog that does not require walking, feeding and everything else constantly so I guess I would say yes.
14. No.
15. It isn't right to keep a dog outside all the time, they are not wild anymore so they should be kept inside too but sometime outside is good for them.
16. Not lifetime because they do not live usually over 20 years if that. It is however a commitment for THEIR lifetime.

1)F they need a purpose in life and I think most dogs need that also
2)T there are only a few dogs that should not be spayed or neutered.. they are the AKC special ones and the rest should be spayed or neutered, it helps personalities and it helps population problems
3)T more than a few times should be reason to be concerned
4)F they are "labeled as hypo-allergenic" to be but I am not convinced...smile
5)T I was personally attacked and it was unprovoked by a 1 year old that I had contact with several times prior.I am sorry if this offends some people but I think in order to own one of these larger more aggressive/more able to do damage people should have the proper training to own them and so the dogs should be trained/socialized starting at a very young age. mabey they should not be labeled as viscious but they should only be owned by people who know what they are doing....and mabey have a special permit to own these type of dogs...after taking the proper training.... again I am sorry if I offend anyone but I feel pretty strong about it......smile
6)T dogs are carnivores
7)T depending on the reason it bit someone... if it had its tail pulled then no but if it did it on its own then yes...
8)F thats one of the reasons the shelters are so full
9)T 8 weeks "by law" if I am right
10)F they should specialize in ONE breed and you should be able to see the conditions they live in and see at least one parent
11)F thats like saying your kid is expendable too... how sad
12)F
13)T
14)FYahoo is good but its to diverse and nothing should replace your vet...smile
15)F
16)T

OK how'd I do...smile....neat questionare do more.....
