I am wondering what the weaning formula is for, if you are getting a puppy then you will not need that because usually the breeder or whomever takes care of that when they ween them. You will need very small doggy biscuits and they should be broken up into pieces. You should also check to see with the breeder and the vetrinarian which type of food the puppy should be eating (dry or wet) and when if ever that should change. You might need to thing about getting a carrier so that you can take your puppy to the vet or in the car or whatever it may be. Make sure the crate is only enough for the puppy to turn around and lay down in and must be tall enough. For pomeranians usually the smallest crate is best for their size. You also need a vet check and they should give you some heartworm medication to keep your puppy heartworm free.

I don't see anything you are missing! We just got a Pomeranian 8 days ago :) One thing, though, our vet told us that Greenies aren't safe for most dogs, but especially toy breeds. They break into large chunks that can get stuck in the intestines or stomach and cause blockage. He had to do an emergency operation on a Shih Tzu because of Greenies. So maybe skip those and get a Nylabone or something.

Oh yeah I'd also suggest a harness. Our pup is afraid of the leash, and Poms are so small that any tugging at all on the leash can injure them. We got a little $9.99 harness and it does the trick :)

God! No dont get greenies. They were sued cuz it effects dogs intestine. It is really bad!! I would also call a doctor (Vet) and tell him to show u
Good Luck

Ps. If its a big cage then split it in half cuz it will live in half and pee in the other. if u have another puppy or dog let it out with it and it learns by watching. I have a 5 yr. old Black Lab / Border Collie and 2 yr. old Pomerian so the Pom. learned that way!

Good for you for planning ahead! I'd say your list looks pretty complete. One thing, though -- why do you need the puppy weaning formula? Under most circumstances, puppies should be weaned by their mothers before they are adopted out.

I see you have dog biscuits on the list. Also buy some smaller training treats (I like Charlee Bear or Sniffers brand) for walks and obedience lessons.

Looking good!
Except to mention that you already have a crate, so how about not using the puppy pee pads? Just provide frequent potty breaks outside and forget teaching him to go on paper. It will save you a lot of trouble down the road!
I am glad you have exercise pens...those work very well with housetraining!!

Glad to see someone prepared for their new arrival:)

wow! i guesse you could say your prepared but you could save alot of money let me help you out

you do not need:
a dry food bowl or a wet food bowl

pee pads/ poop pads (news paper)

doggy bed (you could use old balnckets and put them in a short box)

trust me on this i have had 3 dogs!

think of what your dog NEEDS not WANTS

besides it is good to buy stuff once you have spent a little time with it so you know its personality , its fears and other things about your dog

hope i helped

You might want to take a small piece of clothing that you wore recently and take it to where your new pup is living now and ask the current owner to place the clothing in with the pup so he can get familiar with your scent. And when you pick her up bring the clothing back home with you and it will have the scents of it's mother & brother's & sister's so it won't feel lonely!

Always keep a doggie first aid kit handy. Dogs sometimes get injured too.
