Bones is on the right path, the stuff may have things growing therein other than yeast. that can hurt you, If you want to ferment apple juice, then get pasteurized (the yeasts and other bugs have been killed, then you can ad your own yeast (ideally a wine yeast) but a bakers yeast will work just won't taste as good, gets more complicated now, Do a search on the net for "Hard Cider" great story how the old timers used to make it by freezing and taking off the ice, to increase the alcohol content (since it won't freeze)

Yes, but it'll be nasty...it'll taste just like vinegar , because that's what it is. To make hard apple cider/juice you need to ferment unpasteurized cider. The pasteurization kills the natural yeasts and the stuff always goes to vinegar rather than alcohol.

It might make you sick to your stomach before anything else.....

either buy new apple juice ( it costs about a dollar)

OR

buy something from a liquor store if you want something fermented and not potentially dangerous

Congrats, my friend, but you've just created your 1st batch of homemade moonshine, or what the convicts call it in San Quentin.. homebrew.

I'd toss it, though.. you don't know what could be growing in there. lol
