Okay, this is a very non-interesting question, and I'm sorry, but I've tried everyones advice for different dog foods, with no prevail for my sensative pooch. Hes around 8lbs and 8 years old, and got him from the pound 2 months ago. Since I have gotten him, I have tried:
Adult, Senior, and all flavor varieties of:
Pedigree,
Nutro,
Iams,
Store Brands,
Mighty Dog,
All of it comes back out one side or the other. Mighty Dog was the worse, I found puke and accidents all over the house.
The wierd thing: this dog can eat all table scraps without any digestive problems, no accidents, no upset tummies. Also, he is missing alot of teeth and cannot eat dry food at all (even wetted.)
Please help, any natural solutions? I was going to try just boiling chicken and rice for him, maybe that would work? Anyone else out there with a dog like mine, lol? Please help out :)

Yes, I have taken him to the vet. He has a lvl 5 heart murmer and did have kennel cough when I took him home from the pound. Really, I am an animal lover and couldnt bare to make a dog with health conditions stay in the pound.
His kennel cough is resolved, but his heart murmer will stay with him forever. But, this should not effect what he eats, am I right?

Despite what people say, human food CAN be good for dogs.
I noticed that after feeding my dog table scraps, his fur became so shiney and silky!
I do feed my dog regular dog food, but table scraps never hurt.
Plus, no chocolate or sweets. If you shouldn't eat it, the dog shouldn't either. Oh, and no onions! Or alchohol. Greasy foods is also not the best.
Don't feed him bones, big or small, unless they are from the store. Boiled (not raw) eggs are also very good for dogs!

First of all an 8 year dog's digestive system is comparable to a 50+ year old human. If you have changed foods that many times in the span of 2 months its no wonder he has the runs! Stick to one food for at least a month.Make sure you change over slowly from what ever he was on before. Slowly meaning over a period of weeks. 1 part new 3 part old first week, 2 parts new 2 parts old 2nd week and so on. A dog does not get all that he needs from table scraps....would you? IMHO....i like Nutro Lamb and rice, it is preservative free and the linoleic acid makes the coat shiny. I fed that to my dog for years before switching over to Innova Evo.(one of the closest to a raw diet in commercial dog foods)

None of the foods you've tried have been good quality foods. They all contain way to much cheap fillers, by products and artificial preservatives/additives.
You should try good quality foods that don't contain corn, wheat, soy, beet pulp or by products. Corn, wheat, soy and beet pulp aren't digested easily by dogs, they serve virtually no nutritional value to dogs, they are common allergens, they are responsible for most digestive upsets that a dog has, they produce a lot of waste...a dog is designed to digest meats and to get nutrition from meat proteins not grains.
I suggest good quality foods such as Canidae, Wellness, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lovers Soul, Solid Gold, California Natural just to name a few. A dog will eat less and get more nutrition from a good quality food. They need up to 3 times more of a low quality food in order to get the nutritional benefit as they do from a good quality food.

I have a dog with lots of allergies. He got sick on all the foods you mentioned. I went on the I-dog site and got dog food receipes and now I make my own. He is healty and happy now. No more allergies Here is the receipe I use. But you can use just about any thing except corn, or rice. Plain boiled rice is good when they are sick but thats it. Rice will cause allergies in alot of dogs.
I got a big crockpot and I put all ingredients in the pot and cook it on low for 10-12 hrs. or on high for 6-9 hours. I keep a empty dog food can to measure the servings in. You can put it in baggies or lock top bowls.
3lbs of ground turkey
2 bags of frozen sliced carrots
2 bags of frozen green beans
1 can of sweet potatoes
1 jar of applesauce
4 or 5 raw eggs
1/2 pack of mild chedar cheese
1/2 cup oatmeal or cheerios
1 banana
I use a potato masher to mix it up good in the pot. Makes enough for 7 days feeding in the morning and at night.
You can substitute any veggie like squash, brocolli, spinach, whatever you use just make sure it is not spicy, or canned, I have given samples out to friends and their pets loved it too. All you need is a good meat, veggie, fruit, and BE sure to give them a pet vitamin. I do just to make sure he gets all he needs. Some times I give him a flaxseed oil. My dog has a healthy coat and is allergy free. I hope this works for you. If he is a puppy you may want to use a blender to make it easier for him to eat. You can use any meat that he likes and don't upset his tummy. That is why I get turkey ground up . It looks like hamburger but its turkey. Good luck. DO not use corn. It is a very high allergen

It might just be his age. Pet food now, no matter how they try to make it sound, is really made up of guts and refuse. It's usually listed as crude protein on the label. Some animals just can't tolerate that mess.
It sounds as if you are a very kind person. Chicken and rice will probably work. You could make it up ahead and freeze it. Check with your vet for a way to ensure he is getting all the vitamins and nutrients he needs...

Sorry to hear your having these problems but heres some help so first thing is a vet check to make sure he is not having any internal digestive issues or other health related problems because of his age.Second,I would look into feeding the dog Innova or Bil Jac soft products because they are far superior to the brands you listed and yes even Iams is an average dog food and your poodle is not average. He is a small, delicate lil' fella that needs proper nourishment and care.I wish you luck

Every one of the dog foods u mentioned are crap................
They have nothing but fillers and junk in them that are not healthy for your dog...........
ANYTHING you buy at the store or walmart even the vet is a non nutritional food with fillers like corn as the main ingrediants. These dog foods also contain diseased euthanized livestock that are not fit for human consumption and even euthanized dogs and cats and chicken beaks and feathers, none of this stuff is nutritional or healthy for your dog. same with science diet, it is promoted by vets for the 40 percent profit they recieve from selling the food. REMEMBER the vet is PET DOCTORS not NUTRITIOISTS.........
The best dog foods are food without the fillers and by-products...... ALL NATURAL are a better quality of food and more nutritional and healthier.............
innova, canidae, solid gold, california natural are a few of the best dog foods. They are a bit pricier, but the dog eats less, poops less and their health will be much better than with the cheaper junk foods out there.

The chicken and rice is a good idea. You can also try ground beef and rice. Sounds like he has some food allergies. I would check with a vet if you can. One of my dogs has an allergy to wheat, pretty common and I have to watch her food carefully. I feed my dogs "Eagle Pack" Holistic dry food, but it is available in cans also. Go to their website and see. It isn't the cheapest food, but for me it is worth the money. They sell it on line, give you a list of stores in your area that carry it. You can also print out a coupon once a month to get some money off.
Good luck

The best food I've found is Nutro Natual Lamb and Rice. Many Pitbulls are allergic to corn (fillers) so our vet recommended Nutro. It's been great. You feed them a little less because it's more digestible.
Also - a friend swears by this company. Her dog had massive digestive problems and some of their products worked wonders.

Have you tried rice and hamburg? Call your vet to make sure he is getting all the nutrition he needs. Mighty Dog can be pretty fatty.
You didn't mention how long he has been like this. Have you had him wormed? He may be throwing them up. If it were my pooch I would get him vet checked and get a stool sample on him. It is cheaper to go to the vet when he isn't as sick as he could get. Dogs also get pancreatitis and that would make him very sensitive to fats which would make him throw up and have diarrhea. Sorry to hear he is sick. Take care of it sooner then later. whimzy
