I've been advised to use the medicine ball for ab conditioning (ie: having someone drop the ball on the abs) and was wanting to know how this should be done. Like how high should you drop it from and should this be done while you hold a crunch or a leg lift, etc.

Thanks

this exercise is to get you to keep your abs tensed the whole time you are doing crunches, the aim is to get someone to not so much drop the ball whack on your stomach but to get them to hold the ball and hit you with it repetively when you are doing crunches, so when you are lying flat on your back and about to come back up for a crunch they should hit you with the ball (this is when most people relax their stomach for a short moment, but the aim is to hit you with the ball at this point so you will keep flexing) start off so it is uncomfortable if the ball gets you when you aren't flexing but not really noticeable when you are and increase the pressure of hits as you get used to it..
