I have a crush on a guy that is a year older than me but he likes one of my friends but she told him that she didnt like him like that but they are still friends. My friend said that she told him that i like him but i dont know if this is true. I dont know what i should do. we are not really friends but we hang out with other people never alone him with are always with other people. i just dont know what to do i just dont know.

Express yourself. That is what the crush is all about. To get you to do something and not just let things remain the way they always have.
When the group is together, move near him. If he just keeps moving away, he probably has no interest. If he stays, then start talking with him. This will make it easier if you do ever get the chance to be alone or it might make him want to arrange things so that you do get some time alone.
Take your time, he might be shy. Whatever you do, think before you act. The best advise is the old saying: "Engage brain before putting mouth in motion." But be prepare to talk with him openly.

Whether your friend did it or not, who cares? Just go to him yourself and tell him you like him. If you're too scared to do that, ask him to hang out alone, see how it goes. If you go on a date you get to make sure you like him and you also get to spend time with him, see what it might be like if you dated him (see if you have fun), and above all, see if there's any signs that he likes you back.
