Storage boxes that fit under beds are great for "seasonal" clothing. Especially if you live where there are drastic differences in the seasons like summer heat/humidty and winter snow and ice. Those "air" bags are good too, you know the ones where you can "vacumn" all the air out and they squish down to only a couple of inches in thickness. Stackables for things you don't use often. Like stacking crates for Christmas decorations/ornaments/lights. Also if you haven't used something (clothing) in six months get rid of it, it's only taking up space.

Get as many storage containers as possible on a sunny day and clean it out than take it to the back yard and sort out keeps from not-to-keep. Be thinking when you do this. Make sure that you don't need it or want it. Have yourself a HUGE yard sell!

Overhead shelves in closets, garage, and other possible rooms. Use your under the bed space too - there are built-in cabinets beds. Backyard shed works for stuff you usually keep in your garage. You can also put your seasonal clothes in suitcases sometimes.

If you have not worn it, or used it in 6 months, throw it out or better yet, donate it to a needy family...as your priest/minister/rabbi,preacher/whatever, who in the parish/fellowship/whatever you call your local group could use whatever it is that you are not using/waring, and ask him/her to see that he.she/they receive it.
