Yes, it would be absolutely wrong. Nobody should use physical force in any situation other than self defense. I always just turn the encounter around and start telling them the truth about what they believe in. Either they just give up and go away, they get really steamed, or they have a mini crisis of faith right then and there. Either way nobody gets hurt and i am entertained.

Depends on how fervent they were about you converting...if they mentioned you going to hell if you didn't convert, i say a mild beating is in order, but that is just me...Now if the went door to door and did it, well then a severe beating is not only acceptable, it is warrented...

yes it would be very wrong to give them a "beat down" just cause they tried to convert you, even if you do not believe in that religion you dont have to be rude, just tell them that you believe what you believe, and leave it at that.

Yes it would.

If you don't want to listen, just say so politely, and walk away.

No one is able to convert you into anything you don't want to be.

Religion cannot be FORCED onto anyone, by anyone.

If you're talking about violence, NO! Violence is an answer of the weak-minded - those who don't have the character or intelligence to either argue their case civilly or walk away if it is too challenging to deal with rationally.

Ummm . . . yeah?! Unless they were gonna "convert" you by force.

They have the right to state their beliefs; you have the right not to listen. Unless they're continually harassing you, you'll have to live with the fact that people with strong faith want to covert others.

Yeah, because it's not like you are being forced. Just let them know you don't believe what you believe. I never force people to become Christian. I found God for myself. It's something people chose to believe, not what they are forced. So don't be rude ok. Should they attack you for not believing? I doubt it, just say no, like you would to drugs.

Yes it would. If they are trying to convert you it's is your choice. They can't force you to do it so just politely say "I am quite content with my religion thank you though".

It sounds like something they try NOT to do every time they try converting someone.

"Violence is the last resort of the ignorant."

You should give then an intellectual "beat down" and convert them to your way of thought!
