Questions like this are the reason why our government is insulated from its citizens... to protect us from our passions.
The facts are their, reasoned debate is helpful, unengaged anger is not.
To expect an unskilled worker to be able to obtain a work visa is unrealistic as the system currently operates. There simply are not enough issued and those that are, go to high-skilled workers.
So many baseball fans despise the Yankees for taking all the best free-agents in the game and maintaining a competive imbalance. But it is in their self-interest to get teh highest caliber performers available. Look at the brain drain, the US is the Yankees. Only the Yankees play baseball, our "free-agent" signings have real consequences in the countries they leave. It forms a kind of dependency on the US and the money sent home.

You are right that the dynamic of illegality makes undocumented or illegal immigration different from legal immigration. But it is also important to acknowledge that this is a zero-sum world (you can't add in one place without subtracting from another), when we take the prized high-achievers that have sucked up their state's investment in training them and bring them (and for practical purposes only them) we leave a professional vacuum behind them. This is a far too oft looked component of this issue.

Illegals may want a better life but 99.9% only desire a better job. I really don't mind the prices going up in fact, I'm all for it. We can buy fruit from around the world, the fruit world does not evolve around illegal aliens.The bigger question is what happen to a country full of morals is now being subjected to accommodate anyone who for fear they might get upset that America dare have immigration laws. Who is going to take care of all these people when the job market drys up?

Some people on board still can't figure out the difference between illegals and legal immigrants. They'll hit you with the race card, The Native American card. Maybe the real reason is they really believe in slave labor and don't want anyone to know it.

I think the time is coming for a change in the way
we as a nation deal with this problem.The majority of people in the USA have grown very tired of this invasion,and are prepared to counter this onslaught of criminals.
I have said before the American people don't like being pushed
,they get angry.It has taken awhile but they are very angry in certain parts of the country.They are tired and they are ready to act upon that anger.it wont be pretty and it wont last long But it will be a decisive blow for American freedom and the personal rights of legal American citizens.

Not everyone does, just the ones who want to be "sensitive" and not face the problems and real issues that erupt from the problem.

Folks, our fruit is cheap not because of cheap labor, but because that is the fair market value!
The only people who win by hiring illegal aliens is the business owner, they keep the extra money, they certainly do not pass the savings on to me and you! They say that so you keep letting them hire illegals.
In reality all they are doing is keeping the savings in their own pocket!
Do I think we should deport all illegals, nope, what I do think we should do is any business like that meat packing place found with illegals working is fine them, put the owner in jail, and shut the business down!
Stop the jobs, and the illegals will go home on their own!

And you need to present a better argument, everything they "bring" is not bad.. its just that the overall effect is seriously negative.

They will end the GOP and bring about a 3+ party system.

Plus, the success of the empire will require the merger of both Mexico and USA as one...

Let me get this straight. They work tirelessly and are devoted deeply (most of them anyway) to God and their family. Sounds like perfect little GOPers, yet the GOPers are the most upset. Go figure.
