I definitely do not have the perfect family. I am defo the bad apple I'm 32 now but did some things when I was in my late teens early 20's not criminal or anything like that. Just the wrong type of fella and the raves we went to, etc. The bad apple syndrome seems to have stayed with me even till now, I'm a full time working mum, living a normal life. And gosh yes, the saying you can choose your friends but not your family is soooo true!

No. No family is perfect. If they tell you their family is perfect then they're more screwed up than a little bit. Every family has one or two bad apples; if they don't think so then they're probably that bad apple.

You can definitely choose you're friends and not your family. You do, though have the option of not speaking to your family.

At times, I do wish I could have chose my family, but knowing my luck I would chose people that are great and they would turn out to be psychos!

I do not believe that there is a perfect family and if someone tells you that they have the perfect family then they are just kidding themselves. I wouldn't trade my family for anything else in the world. We are not perfect by any means but we know that we love and care about each other and that is what is important. If there weren't bad apples then the good apples wouldn't look so good :)

I have a lot of bad apples in there. Oh yes I believe that you can choose your friends but not your family is so true, sometimes I wish I could have picked them.

Yes, we all have imperfect families. And some apples are more rotten than others.

There are extreme cases where you have to avoid the bad apples, but generally speaking, I believe we should accept them and love them, they're family. We may be the only ones they can come to when they really need someone.

But then again, if they keep repeating their bad apple antics (drugs, stealing, alcohol, freeloading, etc.), you might have to do some serious tough love cut off.

I guess it really depends on the what, when, where and how often situation.

No, no one has that.,If the truth be told. We don't know if we would choose right or not. We must deal with what we've got. We can not choose our family. We can choose to be close or not to be close to them.I have seen worse than what I 've got so no I do not wish to choose a family. I love my family the good, bad, and the ugly.

I wish I had the perfect family. My family is as disfunctional as they get. Is there really such a thing as a perfect family? I do believe in that saying. If it weren't for my friends I don't know what I'd do.

I definitely don't have the perfect family. Each of us has annoying quirks and we all have some kind of disorder. My sister and I have OCD, I believe my dad has a touch of it, and my mom has depression. My younger brother is just a pest. We have no one to talk to or visit because we don't get along with any of our relatives. My uncle married a lunatic who steals, has bulemia, and lies. My other uncle married a rich snob who brags in front of my mom (we are not so well off financially). I don't have any grandpas. My grandma wants to die. My other grandma treats my mom like crap. None of our cousins live anywhere near us. I think the only sane ones in our family are our pets.
