I've been hollered at by the specialists for even mentioning this, but when you're in horrible pain, it does help relieve it. The reason not to use it is that aspirin can burn your gums. I'll leave this up to you, but what I have done in emergency pain cases, is put aspirin directly on the tooth that is aching. Apply another if one does not relieve the pain. The aspirin will go directly to the nerve and stop that horrible throbbing. Even being hollered at by the dentist team, I would still do it if I was in horrible pain. Good luck and see a dentist as soon as you can.

Toothaches have been an ongoing issue for me for over a year. Motrin IB works wonders, Aspirin is good too. Good luck, I really feel for you, I know how painful they are. :(

If you can't get to a dentist try OralJel. It tastes terrible but dulls the pain. Available over the counter.
