not in my country. $2 - purple, $5 - green, $10 - red, $50 - blue, $100 - orange etc.... so that the young ones able to recognize the differences and the blind can feel it special features on the note.

They are adding color. The US 10 dollar bill has so much orange it looks like it had orange soda spilled on it. Expect to see more ugly money. I liked all green. The colored money looks like it belongs in a monopoly game.

Don't know where your dollars are from, but our dollars are all sorts of colors... pink, red, brown, blue, green.... but we no longer have dollar bills.
It used to drive my mom crazy when we lived in the States... it was confusing for her... she kept mixing them up... a 20 instead of a 2...

I beleive it has something to do with that the green of money can't be duplicated,either the blue or yellow will show.
