I won't lie to you, it does hurt.
But if you keep thinking about it and scaring yourself it will hurt worse.
Just relax.

No need to feel scared or nervous at all. Legs won't hurt at all. Bikini line might hurt and get irritated the first 3 or 4 times but keep in mind that as long as u get yr legs and bikini line waxed hair will grow weaker and u won't feel any pain at all. Try to avoid having your legs and bikini line waxed 3 to 2 days before your period. Women are very sensitive during these days and u might experience some pain. Good luck and relax!!!

This is exactly how I felt the first time I got my legs and bikini line waxed. However, my mom who also waxes told me that if I mosturized the day of the waxing appointment it would be less painful and it's true. I used Jergens all over my legs and bikini line.. helped a lot. When your legs get waxed it's not that bad... it depends on whether or not you have a lot of hair. The bikini line story is significally more painful because it's a rather sensitive area. Again, make sure to mosturize and you will get throught it. Another tip that I found to work was to chew gum; seriously.
So remember, mosturize and bring gum and you'll make it :]. Trust me, I know :]
Good Luck

Yes it will hurt but only very temporarily. The more they wax you the more you will get used to it. if you have fine light coloured hair it may not hurt as much as thicker darker hair. Keep the area clean and scrub for about a week after waxing with something rough so u do not get ingrown hairs - they will hurt much much more. The pain from waxing is only very temporary but if you get ingrown hairs they can be painful. If you get ingrown hairs alot you may have to stop waxing as it is not for some skin types. Just make sure u use a scrub on the area for about a week after to help the hair break back through the skin. MAKE SURE U FIND A GOOD SALON - some places can be a bit dodgy they must clean your skin before they wax they must not burn you with the wax and if they do go somewhere else the next time. Good luck and dont be scared +++ :).

i'm a licensed esthetician and licensed laser instructor. waxing your legs is not very painful. bikini line does smart somewhat. ask what type of wax they are using. you want a cold wax that pulls agains itself and not your skin. there are different brand names. if it is a hot wax, just make sure that they are experienced (ask specifically how many they have personally waxed) and that as soon as they pull the strip of cloth that they immediately put their hand over that spot. it will help with the slight sting caused from pulling the hair from the follicle. whoever is doing this procedure for you should talk to you first and explain what she is doing and how it will feel during and after. there will be a lot of heat, so wear loose clothing. ice packs work great if you have too much heat discomfort. if it's not cost prohibitive, i'd check into laser treatments. quicker, five treatments or so and you'll never have to do it again. but waxing is not a bad option.
good luck

You should be ok. Lots of people will swear the legs hurts the most, and lots will swear the bikini hurts the most. So, you will probably get a 50/50 answer. My own opinion is that neither hurt that much, and its just the back of the legs that nip a little. Let the beautician know its your first time and she will probably be extra gentle.
It will be ok and will be worth it - honest, for the smooth result you will get.
Good luck.

bikini line is the worst, it hurts so get ready, but the good part is it only last for a few seconds. Legs not too bad, but still has an ouch factor. good luck!

If you are going someplace professional. It should only really sting a little, unless you have very sensitive skin.
I really like to use the hair removal lotion and a loofa sponge..

if it's your first time yeah...but it gets better the more often you do it b/c the hair stops growing back or thins out after awhile so it doesn't hurt as bad. Just suck it up...it's not that bad. No pain no gain girl...and if you wanna be beautiful it comes with a price...pain! :)

honestly-
the first time i got waxed it didn't hurt that much; they do it pretty quickly, and they'll probably add a soothing oil in the end, so that helps. anyway, worrying about it will only make it worse. remember- theyre proffessionals! they know what they're doing.
