If you use it 4 times per week, pretty moderate, you can lose ten pounds per month easily- with very little change to your diet.

You can lose as much as you want with pretty much any aerobic excercise.

Weight loss is simple math - burn more calories than you consume - there is no magic.

Here's what I did to lose 50 lbs...

Cut out most of the fat from my diet
Get a good aerobic workout 1 hour a day, 3 days a week
Drink as much water as possible (breaks down cellular fat)
Enjoy feeling healthy!

If you use it regularly (i.e. 3 x a week/ 30 mins a session) You can lose a lot. Although you won't lose it right away, losing weight takes time. The elliptical trainer is said to help you burn more calories than using a treadmill.

i use the eliptical for 35 minutes a day, which is like 4.3 miles, or somewhere just over 4 miles, at my pace, on the weight loss setting and i haven't really noticed weight loss (when on the scale) but when i look at myself in the mirror i dont look as flabby, i've got less fat on my thighs and stomach...and i feel better.
