i am a 16 yr old girl, but i have been having these severe backaches for over two years. i have had x-rays and rubbed ointments but all to no avail. it is at me lower thoracic vertebrae and it is usually severe when i wake up. Is there any professional medical practitioner out there who could help me out?

You're 16 and having severe back pain? you are too young for this. Like someone here said..have you seen a chiropractor? they are good, maybe you need alignment on your back, they can help you with that, they will take an x-ray to see if anything abnormal is there of course and if they see something they will recommend you see a specialist. Try massage therapy, if is because of muscles spasm or trigger points they can relieve those symptoms and alleviate the pain.
When you wake up and the pain is there..try stretching before you get out of bed.
Heres a site where you can find some stretches which can help strengthen your back
Good luck and good health ^i^♥

Have you tried physical therapy? They have come a long way in approach to pain in the spine and/or muscles. Talk to one, worth a shot.
